Casa ConsoleAbstractThis palace, built in 1856, houses a large collection of 19th century Romantic paintings, a contemporary painting gallery and a painting school. It is named Casa Console, the Consul's House, because it was built by an inhabitant of Poschiavo who made his fortune as a pastry chef in Poland and became Swiss consul in Warsaw.
