Les DélicesThe Villa "Les Délices", Voltaire's main residence from March 1755 to the autumn of 1760, was an important place for literary creation and philosophical reflection.
It was here that the
Poem on the Disaster of Lisbon and
Candide were partly written, and it was in the Grand Salon that d'Alembert, who was writing his article "Geneva" for the
Encyclopédie, was welcomed...
Thanks to the permanent collection, Les Délices can now fully relive the highlights of the Age of Enlightenment during events and guided tours.
