For walkers, there are more than 400 km of well-kept footpaths of varying degrees of difficulty. The more active can hop on a mountain bike, practise climbing or float down into the valley with a hang-glider. An 18-hole approach golf course and an 18 hole PAR 70 course will make every golfer's heart beat faster, while the ultramodern sports centre offers plenty of variety for fans of sauna, tennis, squash and curling.
Verbier in winter
Verbier has all of the beauty and charm of a larger mountain village which has developed in harmony with its surroundings. The ski area extends between 1,500 and 3,300 metres above sea level in a spectacular mountain landscape.
Verbier is a true paradise for winter sports fans, with snowboarding, carving, telemark and downhill skiing all adding to the fun. In the new Esserts Fun Park, you can also try out trendy new sports such as snowtube, snow-cross and snow-cart.
However, Verbier is also renowned for its culinary pleasures, offering a wide-ranging selection of local specialities and gastronomic tours de force in Roland Pierroz's "Rosalp". And later in the evening, there are well-known bars and pubs just waiting to be discovered, not to mention the world-famous Verbier night-life.
