In the depths of Val Ferret, at 1,600 m altitude, in a wild alpine setting, the village of La Fouly is a family resort with a bewitching character. It forms one of the stages on the Mont Blanc tour and, in summer, has a vast choice of hikes and excursions of every level.
La Fouly is an alpine centre and from here you can also reach such prestigious summits as: Tour Noir, Mont Dolent, and the Aiguille d'Argentière. Its famous limestone cliffs are greatly appreciated by rock climbers. Gaston Rébuffat, the celebrated alpinist, classed it among the one hundred most beautiful climbs in the Alps.
In winter, La Fouly's cross-country ski trail leads you through unique countryside. There are also downhill skiing, snowshoe excursions, an icefall and, in spring, ski tours to Mont Dolent, la Dotze and Grand Lui, with a breathtaking 1,900 m descent to La Fouly.
