The old village (3)

Abstract

Can you guess what this slightly isolated part of the village is called? ‘La Mâchette’ (the little Mâche), of course! A separate hamlet? Not really. The old Valaisans knew every detail of their territory, and the inhabitants of Mâche refrained from building in the avalanche corridor that cuts the village in two.
